Since the Foundation of St. Petersburg, its history is inextricably linked with the history of our state. The events that took place in our city often had a national significance, and everything that happened in our Country, always reflected on the life of the Northern capital. Thanks to an individual tour of St. Petersburg, You will be able to fully feel the pulse of the past. And all because St. Petersburg has carefully preserved the heritage of the past centuries, leaving virtually unchanged not only individual buildings, but also squares and streets-as they were in the XVIII-XX centuries. The city on the Neva river was created by the work of Russian and foreign architects. To this day, we admire their great creations. Here are just a few of them: Domenico Trezini-Peter and Paul fortress, building of the Twelve colleges, Church of the Annunciation; Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli as the Winter Palace, the Grand Palace in Peterhof, the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo; Antonio Rinaldi-Marble Palace, Prince Vladimir Cathedral, St. Isaac's Cathedral; Jean Baptiste Wallen-Delamot - the building of the Academy of arts, Yusupov Palace, Grand Gostiny Dvor, facades of buildings in New Holland. Vasily Bazhenov supervised the construction of many buildings in St. Petersburg and its suburbs. The most famous of them is Mikhailovsky castle (Engineering castle). Also, according to his project, the construction of the Smolny Institute began, which was completed under the leadership of the great Quarenghi. It is impossible to imagine our city without the monument to Peter I-the Bronze horseman (Etienne Falcone), installed on the Senate square and without Rostral columns (Toma de Thomon). Moreover, it is impossible to do this without one of the main attractions, the symbol of St. Petersburg-an angel on the spire of the Peter and Paul Cathedral. It was created by two great masters - Domenico Trezini and Antonio Rinaldi. I invite You to a fascinating journey through this city. Choose a convenient date and time and leave a request. We will discuss the route of the sightseeing tour in advance and plan it so that the trip will be unforgettable.
Making a sightseeing tour of St. Petersburg, you will see Smolny Cathedral and learn its history, the history of this place-the history of St. Petersburg to St. Petersburg. I will tell you about the Kikin chambers - the house of the Admiral-associate of Peter I-about why the collection of Peter's Kunstkamera and the personal library of Peter I was stored there from 1719 to 1727, as well as about what became of this building later. We will see the monuments to the hero of the first world war, Alexei Alekseevich Brusilov. When we pass the Tauride Palace, we will remember, of course, Potemkin-Tauride, and pages of the political history of Russia. We will stop at the Voskresenskaya embankment, where there is a Monument to victims of political repression [created by M. M. Shemyakin] and a monument to Anna Akhmatova, and across the Neva we will see the infamous "Crosses". You will see the Summer garden and the Summer Palace of Peter I. You may want to visit the Peter and Paul fortress or Aurora, go down the embankment to the Sphinxes at the Academy of arts and we will certainly do it. We can also combine a sightseeing tour of St. Petersburg with a visit to the Hermitage.
The route is laid out in such a way that in front of you from different angles will open a panorama of the banks of the Neva river with the Peter and Paul fortress, the Arrow of Vasilievsky island and Rostral columns, the Winter Palace and the Admiralty, the Exchange and the Academy of Sciences, as well as the Kunstkamera. We will turn to the building of the Twelve colleges, built for twelve government agencies-ten ministries, the Senate and the Synod, and pass by the Menshikov Palace and the building of the Academy of arts. In the final part of the tour we will drive past the Nicholas Palace and along Konnogvardeysky Boulevard we will drive up to St. Isaac's Cathedral. Here we will take a walk along St. Isaac's square, and passing through the Alexander garden, we will come to the Bronze horseman. Perhaps we will end our journey in the heart of St. Petersburg – on Palace square, or maybe not.
